Michelle has solved multiple adoption cases using DNA analysis. She has also acted as the facilitator and managed the process of introducing adopted individuals to their biological families. Michelle has a unique combination of analytical skills, extensive family research experience and critical thinking that benefit her clients. Michelle uses the results of DNA tests in combination with traditional research methods to locate the biological family of adopted individuals.
Michelle has been actively researching her ancestors for over 15 years. Using traditional research methods she has documented her previously unknown paternal ancestors. When she started on her journey little was known about her paternal grandfather's ancestral families - The Bukowski and Murosky families. Today there are six documented generations for the Bukowski and Murosky families.
Michelle also completed extensive research on her paternal grandmother's ancestral families - The McDonald and Haggerty families from northeastern Clarion County, Pennsylvania. When she started there were very few details known about the McDonald and Haggerty families. Today there are eight documented generations for the McDonald family and nine documented generations of Haggerty family.
Michelle has extensive experience with Pennsylvania records as all of the branches of her family are originally from Pennsylvania. She also has experience searching Polish families in the United States.
Michelle maintains the research website Our Ancestors - The Murosky & McDonald Ancestral Lines. The goal of the research site is to share information and research updates with her family.
Michelle completed her first book Our Ancestors: Volume 1: The Murosky and Bukowski Ancestors December of 2011. The book was dedicated to her paternal grandfather Arthur Murosky. The 276 paged hard backed book features a collection of family tree research, historical records and family photographs for the Murosky and Bukowski ancestors.
The second book in the series - Volume 2 is currently in development. Volume 2 will be focused on the Bukowski family. To learn more about Volume 2 please refer to the announcement.
